Paul Jacob Bashour is an American abstract artist whose work transcends traditional boundaries through painting, photography, and installation. Rooted in Los Angeles but shaped by a global perspective, Paul Jacob weaves memory, emotion, and materiality into immersive visual landscapes. His art reflects a rich multicultural heritage and an acute sensitivity to texture, nature’s rhythms, and the delicate dance between chaos and order.

Raised in a home alive with creativity, Paul Jacob began exploring drawing, painting, and sculpture as a child. This early language of form blossomed into a multidisciplinary practice that embraces film and photography, infusing his work with cinematic depth and atmospheric nuance.

At the heart of his evolving practice lies a dialogue between the tangible and the intangible where tactile surfaces meet conceptual depth inviting viewers into contemplative spaces of reflection and emotional resonance. His art acts as a vessel for memory, time, and elemental forces urging us to slow down and witness the quiet pulse beneath the visible.

In 2024, Paul Jacob unveiled PULSE: The Rhythm of Earth at Soho House West Hollywood, a visceral exploration of Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water rendered through raw texture and abstract form. The following year, he presented The Walls of Roma at Florence Osteria, a poetic meditation on the layered patinas of Roman architecture revealing stories of history, decay, and transformation etched in stone and time.

His work has been shown in intimate private galleries throughout Los Angeles, curated spaces such as Ricca Design in Beverly Hills and Studio 525 in New York City, and in Paris where he served as an artist in residence and exhibited. Collectors across the United States and internationally have embraced his emotive elemental vision, adding his works to their private collections.

Continuing to push the boundaries between art, experience, and memory, Paul Jacob Bashour crafts deeply personal and immersive worlds that invite quiet contemplation and connection to the unseen rhythms that shape our lives.
